About Us

How the Flock Was Born--or The Night We Became Chickens.

Talk to the Tailfeathers didn’t start with a business plan. It started with a card game, my sister, my sister‑in‑law, and the kind of laughter that makes you forget whose turn it is.

Somewhere between the jokes, the teasing, and the questionable card‑playing strategies, my sister‑in‑law suddenly crowned my sister with her name:

“Snicker Butt.”

We all lost it.

My sister immediately fired back with “Cackle Pants.” I was laughing at both of them, and before I could catch my breath, my sister pointed at me and declared:

“Great. You’re Chuckle Cheeks.”

And that was it. We weren’t people anymore — we were chickens with ridiculous names and even more ridiculous personalities.

Then my sister‑in‑law said the line that sealed our fate:

“Great, now we’re going to end up as T‑shirts.”

She meant it as a joke. I took it as a challenge.

And that’s how Snicker Butt, Cackle Pants, and Chuckle Cheeks became the founding flock of Talk to the Tailfeathers — a brand built on laughter, family, and the kind of silliness that deserves to be shared.

Right now, the characters live in digital form. Eventually, I’ll draw them traditionally, feather by feather. But the heart of the flock will always be that night — the moment three grown women accidentally became chickens, and I decided to turn it into something fun.
